Hear a coqui?

Tap the button where you are. Your phone marks the spot on the map. No account needed.

Your phone asks to share your location. Then it can listen for 30 seconds and count the calls, if you agree.

What is saved, and who sees it

Saved: where your phone was (GPS), the time, and, if you let it listen, what it counted: each call’s time, pitch and loudness. No sound is recorded or sent. We don’t ask for your name or email.

On the public map your report shows as a circle about 100 m across, placed on a grid of about 30 m, marked “not checked”. It doesn’t change any lot’s color.

To stop misuse, we also keep a random number that this phone saves for this site, and a scrambled form of your internet address. Only the site’s admin sees these. They are never shown on the map.

This site is run by neighbors. It is not MISC and doesn’t send anyone. To ask MISC for help, see How to fight coqui.
